Kogi Security Adviser, Jerry Omodara, hails Governor Ododo on ₦72,500 Minimum Wage Implementation and Tax Payments Suspension

The State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has expressed his commendation for Governor Ododo on the successful implementation of the new minimum wage in Kogi State, as well as the suspension of tax payments in the state for a period of one year.

In a statement, Jerry Omodara emphasized that these initiatives reflect the Governor’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of civil servants in the state. He noted that by prioritizing the welfare of Kogi workers, Governor Ododo has set a commendable example of responsive leadership.

Jerry Omodara further stated that the suspension of tax payments in the state is a transformative policy that will alleviate financial burdens on many families. In applauding the minimum wage implementation, Jerry Omodara acknowledged its positive impact on the standard of living for public sector employees. He commended Governor Ododo for addressing a critical issue that has long affected civil servants, expressing confidence that this move will enhance productivity and morale in the workforce.

He urged for continued support for policies that promote the welfare of citizens and advance Kogi’s overall development, why calling on Kogi workers to reciprocate the gesture by creating more wealth for the state by redoubling their efforts for productivity. He said ‘Whom much is given, much is expected’.

He finally called on Kogi residents to work closely with the government and security agencies by providing credible and timely information in the fight against crimes and criminalities in the State.
