Kogi Social Protection Activist Dedicates Humanitarian Award to Gov. Ododo and Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency

As a show of gratitude for partnership, as a Social Protection, Pastor Mrs. Roselyn Alabi has dedicated her Outstanding Caregiver Award to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA).

The award was presented to Mrs. Alabi by the Nigerian post Newspaper in conjunction with the Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre during the prestigious 2025 Humanitarian Awards Ceremony held in Lokoja. The event celebrated individuals and organizations making significant contributions to humanitarian efforts across Kogi State.

While receiving the award, Mrs. Alabi expressed her deep appreciation to Governor Ododo and the KGCSDA for providing a platform through which she has been able to extend care and support to poor and vulnerable children across communities. “This award is not just mine,” she said, “it belongs to the Governor and the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, whose support and vision have enabled my work. Their commitment to uplifting the lives of the underprivileged is what makes achievements like this possible.”

Mrs. Alabi, who runs the Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, an NGO focused on caring for orphans, vulnerable children, and HIV prevention, has been a key partner of the agency in implementing community-based interventions.

Speaking at the event, Chief Momoh Dauda, General Manager of the KGCSDA, congratulated Mrs. Alabi on the recognition. He described the award as well-deserved and praised her dedication to humanitarian service. “Mrs. Alabi is a true ambassador of the agency,” Chief Dauda noted. “Through her NGO, she continues to raise the flag of compassion and service, embodying the values we stand for in Kogi State.”

He further reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting civil society organizations and individuals working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of the marginalized.

The event brought together stakeholders from the humanitarian sector, government officials, and civil society actors who applauded the awardees for their relentless service and impact.

With this award, Mrs. Alabi joins a distinguished list of Nigerians whose selfless contributions continue to shape a more compassionate and inclusive society.
