KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT INAUGURATE AGILE COMMITTEE

The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Ph.D has inaugurated a State Steering Committee for Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE).

Inaugurating the Committee in her office in Lokoja Thursday, the SSG charged the Committee to go all out to ensure the objectives of AGILE is achieved in the State.

She said she looks forward to a positive outlook where the young adolescent girls acquire the necessary education and skills that transforms them into responsible, responsive and economically less dependent on the male folks.

According to the SSG, “AGILE is an Education Support Programme sponsored by the World Bank through the Federal Ministry of Education to encourage and empower young adolescents girls with education and skills”.

The committee is composed of the following persons:

1. Hon. Wemi Jones……………Chairman

3. Hon. Idris Ashiru Mukadam………..Member
4. Hajia Fatima Momoh……………Member
5. Hon. Anyebe Monday…………..Member
