Kogi State Honours Award : Aka Royal Family Kabba Appreciates Gov Bello
The Oba Daniel Obatimayin Aka Royal Family of Kabba has appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for approving the 79 names listed for Kogi State Honours Award in which her patriarch is one of the awardees .
The statement of appreciation to the Kogi State Governor Alh Yahaya Bello, was signed by Chief Mobolaji Sunday Aka and the Olori Ebi of Idogba Royal Family, Hon Chief Gboyega Stephen Aka in Kabba and made available to newsmen.
The statement which also profusely thanked the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi for nominating the awardee for the award, revealed that Oba Daniel Aka’s reign witnessed a lot of developments in Kabba and therefore his being conferred a post humus award was not a misplaced one .
It revealed that Oba Aka ascended the throne in 1957 as a Third Class Chief but became a First Class Chief before joining his ancestors .
While stating that a lot of developments in many sectors were recorded during his over 20 years on the throne , the statement said of the most important was that Kabba witnessed peace and unity.
The statement also appreciated Governor Bello for the rapid infrastructural and human developments recorded in Kabba during his eight years in Lugard House, pointing out that Kabba and Okun land would remain grateful to him.
While congratulating HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi during whose reign Kogi State University Kabba was established , the statement said the Governor and the royal father’s names are already written in gold in Kabba history.
