KOGI STATE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION RELEASES DETAILED RESULTS OF OCTOBER 19TH LG POLLS
The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has released detailed results of the October 19th local government elections in the state.
The Executive Director, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR), Idris Miliki confirmed this in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, stressing that the state electoral body has complied with the law.
He commended the bold step of the commission to make available the figures scored by each parties and candidates for both chairmen and councilors across the 21 local government for the public to see their party performance in the last week elections.
He urged them to uphold the detail results on the commission’s website for the general public to have access to it

KOGI STATE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION(SIEC) FINALLY COMPILED AND RELEASED FIGURES AND STATISTICS OF ELECTIONS CONDUCTED ON THE 19TH OCTOBER, 2024.
The Popular saying that “it is better late than never”, at last SIEC finally released and made available facts, figures and statistics of the outcome of the Local Government Elections conducted on the 19th of October, 2024. It will be recall that CHRCR demanded the details results of the elections conducted and declared late on the day of elections was conducted without the facts and figures that should have accompanied the said declarations by the chairman of the commission.
As part of our continuous post elections review, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR) can now confirm the availability of the details of the elections results from wards to local governments, and according to the scores of each political parties and winners in the 21 local governments.
Despite this slightly delay in the released of these all-important figures, it is now available for researchers, documentation and dissemination of information in regard to the elections conducted and can now serve as a reference.
CHRCR commend this bold step by SIEC and its leadership and urge them to review the elections further and the lessons learnt through various recommendations by various stakeholders that participated in the elections and the electoral process.
In conclusion, we advise the SIEC to upload these all-important figures and statistics to their website for proper information disseminations.
