Kogi State Police Command Strengthens Community Policing Initiatives, receives Council of Ulama’u and the National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has received courtesy visits from the Council of Ulama’u and the National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NASWDEN) Kogi State chapter.

The visits aimed to strengthen community policing initiatives and promote peaceful coexistence in the state.

CP Kankarofi emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue and collaboration in maintaining peace and stability, assuring the Ulama’u of the Command’s commitment to working together with religious leaders to address security concerns.

The Leader of the Council, Alh. Idris Babango, pledged the Ulama’u’s support in promoting peace and stability in the state ¹

The Commissioner also met with NASWDEN, highlighting the crucial role of scrap dealers in economic development.

He urged for continued partnership and collaboration to combat illegal activities, such as the trade of stolen or explosive materials.

Alh. Hashimu Usman Maigemu, State Chairman of NASWDEN, commended CP Kankarofi for his efforts and assured of robust working synergy.

These visits demonstrate CP Kankarofi’s commitment to community engagement and collaborative security efforts, building on his reputation for effective policing and community relations.
