Kogi West Rebirth Forum: Amb. Aina Oladipo Michael Congratulates Prof. Joash Amupitan SAN on His Historic Appointment as INEC Chairman, Applauds President Tinubu’s Commitment to National Inclusivity

As Convener of the Kogi West Rebirth Forum, I, Amb. Aina Oladipo Michael, extend heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan SAN, following his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and the approval of the Council of State, in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His confirmation by the Senate is no doubt creating an historic process.

This appointment marks a watershed moment in our history, as it is the first time since Nigeria’s independence that a distinguished son of Kogi State, from our very own Kogi West, has been so honored with this exalted national responsibility.

We salute President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and sense of fairness in recognizing merit and ensuring inclusivity in leadership, thereby reinforcing the spirit of national unity and his administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Prof. Amupitan’s sterling credentials as an erudite scholar, seasoned legal luminary, and man of proven integrity reassure us of his capacity to provide exceptional leadership at INEC. His character, intellect, and wealth of experience make him not only an asset to the commission but also a role model for the next generation.

On behalf of the Kogi West Rebirth Forum, I charge Prof. Amupitan to bring fresh perspectives and enduring reforms that will further strengthen Nigeria’s electoral system and deepen the credibility of our democracy.

We pray that the Almighty grants him wisdom, courage, and divine strength to excel in this historic assignment and to leave behind a legacy that will make all Nigerians proud.

Signed
Amb. Aina Oladipo Michael
Convener, Kogi West Rebirth Forum
