KOSCEPA DG Visits Graphics Newspaper, Calls for Media Collaboration

The Director General of the Kogi State Commodity Exchange, Export Promotion, and Market Development Agency (KOSCEPA), Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye, along with his team, paid a courtesy visit to Graphics Newspaper in Lokoja to discuss avenues for collaboration and strengthening media cooperation.

Hon. Omofaiye emphasized the critical role of media in creating awareness about the agency’s programs, mission, and achievements. He highlighted the importance of effective communication strategies to engage the public and improve understanding of KOSCEPA’s efforts across the state.

He stated that the agency intends to leverage media platforms, including newspapers and social media, to reach a broader audience, share relevant information, and encourage community participation. Hon. Omofaiye also stressed the value of organizing collaborative events such as workshops, seminars, and community dialogues. These initiatives, he explained, will allow direct engagement with the public, providing clarity on the agency’s objectives and opportunities available, particularly for farmers, commodity traders, and marketers. Such engagement, he added, has the potential to boost employment opportunities within the state.

In his response, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Graphics Newspaper, Mr. Yusuf Jimmy Itopa, congratulated Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye on his appointment as the DG of KOSCEPA. He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing a capable and dedicated leader to head the agency.

Mr. Itopa assured Hon. Omofaiye of Graphics Newspaper’s readiness to partner with KOSCEPA in promoting its activities and programs. He noted that the newspaper is well-prepared to produce newsletters and other publications that will inform and educate the people of Kogi State about KOSCEPA’s initiatives and their benefits.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to work closely to enhance public awareness through effective media coverage and publicity. This partnership aims to ensure that information about KOSCEPA’s contributions reaches every part of the state, benefiting farmers, traders, and the general public.
