KSU, Kabba Conducts Maiden Exam
Kogi State University, Kabba has concluded its maiden examination. The pioneering students concluded their First Semester 2022/23 academic session examination on Friday.
In a media parley, the Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Kehinde I.T. Eniola said the conclusion of the maiden examination denounces the notion that the school is political.
Prof. Eniola also noted that the institution recorded success in the conduct of the examination from both students and lecturers, that only one case of examination malpractice was recorded out of over 1,000 students.
The pioneer students expressed excitement on the conclusion of their maiden examination.
David Fortune, 100 level Mass Communication said she is happy to have concluded first semester exam.
David Alimoke, 100 level English and Literature Studies student expressed satisfaction on the professional conduct of the lecturers with the students.
The VC also said the institution, as the fastest growing State University in Nigeria will be going digital as they will be embarking on all encompassing ICT training for all management and staff begining from 15 and 16 of May. Adding that some of the 2nd semester examination will be digital, i.e, Computer Based Test (CBT).
The VC expressed plans to start Remedials programs by the institution, that they already have IJMB centre in Kabba town. He said those programs cannot be ran in the school campus, so as to make the students work hard to become proper undergraduate students.
Speaking about transportation and accommodation challenges of the students, he said coaster buses will soon be procured and to support the existing palliative transport system for the students, adding that hostels will also be built for students accomodation.
In his closing remark, the Registrar of the school appreciated former Governor Yahaya Bello for the establishment of the institution and also appreciate Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman for the continuity in developing the institution and for being supportive.
