KUGBO INT’L MARKET COMMISSIONING:THE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN WEST AFRICA- Bldr Divine

As Nigerians from across the 36 States of the Country, Continue to express their Satisfaction over the Construction and Commissioning of the Kugbo International Market of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Saturday April 5th, 2025, a Project revealed to have been powered by Public Private Partnership (PPP), Builder Divine Aliugo who is one of the Engineers and Contractors in the Construction Process, has also expressed his satisfaction and also given insight into the facility ,which he said was Constructed with the State of the Art equipment and also described it as the first of its kind in the west Africa Sub-region.
Speaking to the Media Shortly, after the Commissioning of the Market, Bldr Aliugo said the Commissioning of the State of the Art facility was a dream come true and a Major milestone, pointing out that it has also brought unprecedented joy to him and other Nigerians, particularly, those domiciled in the Nation’s Capital.
According to him, the facility has some attributes that made it distinct and unique from others due to the Choice of materials used in its Construction. Stressing further that Conventional building materials were no used in almost all of the Construction stages, from the Concept to the design,a feat that further distinguished the Kugbo International Market, he noted.
Reacting to questions from journalists on the poor maintenance Culture and disposition that Characterised the attitude of an average Nigerian, and how it might affect the facility, Bldr Divine Aliugo explained that, the facility was Constructed with Materials that has Zero or low maintenance cost.
” As you can see, what we used is borne-bricks, not the normal block that has to be plastered and after some time it faded and get dirty,what we used here is polish which doesn’t get dirty, and whenever it get stained or dirty it can be washed , what we have here can remain like this for the next 30 to 40 years”.
He explained that, Construction and maintenance are equally linked together, and both must be rightly done.
