Late Madam Florence Awoniyi, Ex. Kogi Deputy Governor’s Mum, to Be Buried 26th May, 2023.

… Family releases Burial Arrangements.

The burial arrangements for late Madam Florence Ebun Awoniyi has been released.

Late Madam Florence Awoniyi was the wife of Late Sunday Awoniyi, one time Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum, one of the founding fathers of the PDP and Aro of Mopa who died on 28th November, 2007.

Born in Mopa, Mopamuro LGA on the 31st August 1940, Late Madam Florence died on 8th May 2023 at the Evercare Hospital, Lekki, Lagos, after a brief illness.

According to a statement announcing the burial arrangements, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, former Kogi State Deputy Governor, said the service of songs and night of tributes holds on Thursday 18th May, 2023 by 6:30pm at the First Baptist Church, 24a Broad Street, Lagos.

The Statement further adds that a Wake Keep hold on Thursday 25th May, 2023 between 4:30-6:30pm at the residence of late Chief Awoniyi, Orimolade Road, Ileteju, Mopa, Mopamuro LGA, Kogi State.

The Funeral Service is slated to hold on Friday 26th May, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:30am at First Baptist Church, Ileteju, Mopa, Mopamuro LGA, Kogi State, while interment follows immediately after funeral service.

A reception ceremony according to the statement follows immediately after interment at the premises of Boja Industries, Limited, Arifun Industrial Estate, Mopa.
