She further reiterated the company’s commitment to creating an enabling environment where women can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

In his presentation, Mr. Ibrahim Ahmad, Sustainability Manager, highlighted the role of women’s empowerment in driving sustainable development.

He noted that the company’s initiatives align with UN Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, and 10, which focus on gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and reduced inequalities.

Ahmad emphasized that Mangal Industries Limited promotes a culture of inclusion, fairness, and respect, recognizing the value and contributions of every employee.

He encouraged individuals and organizations to take deliberate steps toward inclusion, mentoring, and supporting community initiatives that promote women’s development.

Also at the event, Dr. Israel Tosin Ajayi delivered a presentation titled “Prioritizing Women’s Wellness.”

He highlighted the importance of women’s health, focusing on the early detection and prevention of diseases such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and mental health challenges.

Dr. Ajayi explained that women often prioritize the needs of others over their own, which can lead to delays in seeking necessary health screenings and care.

He therefore encouraged women to take proactive steps toward maintaining their health through regular screenings, healthy lifestyle choices, and increased awareness of warning signs.

Beneficiaries drawn from the host communities of Mopa and Ijumu Local Government Areas received various empowerment tools and equipment to support their businesses. The beneficiaries include: Ajayi Ogun (Solar Freezer), Joseph Feyisayo (Knitting Machine), Solomon Iyabo (Solar Freezer), Sola Titilayo (Knitting Machine), Rhoda Ogunbaiye (Sewing Machine), and Janet Obadofin (Sewing Machine).

Present at the event were Engr. Adamu Ma’aji (General Manager, Engineering and Technical), Dr. Almu Nasiru (Human Resources Manager), Mr. Abdullahi Ibrahim (Admin Manager), Engr. Yakubu A. Yakubuz, Mr. Ibrahim Ahmad (Sustainability Manager), Dr. Israel Ajayi Tosin (Resident Doctor), Mr. Osawu Dare, Mr. Tope Matthew (Community Liaison Officer), and the event organizers Mrs. Khadijat Obaro and Ms. Sandra Chukwuma from the Human Resources Department.

In another related development, Mangal industries limited also conducted a school outreach program at Junior Secondary School (JSS) Kado Kuchi, Abuja where two interactive sessions were held with female students.

The first session, which focused on Menstrual Hygiene and Body Confidence, was facilitated by the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Mrs. Goriola-Oduguwa Omowunmi Omolabake, who educated the students on the importance of personal hygiene, self-confidence, and maintaining healthy habits during adolescence.

The second session was delivered by Mrs. Sa’adatu Ahmad Tijjani, the Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer, who encouraged the students to prioritize their education, develop confidence, and remain focused on achieving their personal and professional aspirations.

The outreach program was anchored by Mrs. Ruth Oyiza Aliyu, who spoke to the students about the importance of the girl child and encouraged them to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve their dreams.

As part of the outreach initiative, backpacks with care packages containing sanitary pads, hygiene kits, and educational materials were distributed to all the female students to support their health and well-being.

The program concluded with a vote of appreciation from the Vice Principal of JSS Kado Kuchi, who expressed gratitude to Mangal Industries Limited for organizing the outreach and for contributing to the empowerment and development of young girls in the community.

Through these initiatives, Mangal Industries Limited continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering women and supporting the development of communities where it operates.
