March 18: APC K/B/I Campaign Council Urges Electorate to vote en-mass for the party
By Sunday Ajayi – Lokoja
The Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency has urged electorate to vote en-mass for the party in the forthcoming Governorship and House of Assembly elections scheduled to hold this weekend.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Council Director General, Hon. Adesayo Ismail and made available to newsmen in Lokoja this morning.
According to the statement, the campaign council is not unaware of the plot by the opposition parties to weaken the strength of the party in the Constituency by using all manners of tactics to curry favor from our members, stressing that it is now an open secret that the APC mandate was stolen in the just concluded national assembly election in the area.
He assured the people of the Constituency that the APC will not allow the mandate freely given to them to slip off their hands. He promised to do everything within its power legally to retrieve the mandate, pointing out that the use of the BVAS has further made it stringent for anyone to rig any elections in Nigeria and go scott free.
He urged the electorate not to fall for their antics as their party don’t have the credibility and integrity to be trusted, pointing out that APC still remains the party to beat in Nigeria, stressing that no agenda supercedes the party agenda in any constituency.
He querried why would people of the area trust the party that has no root anywhere in Nigeria aside the fact that they only believe in short cut instead of following due process that will engender credibility of the process.
