Massive Defection to Action Alliance: A Turning point for Braimoh’s candidacy in Kogi Governorship Election

Yesterday, history was made at the Action Alliance party secretariat in Lokoja, Kogi State, as a significant number of members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the central senatorial district, as well as members of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) across the state, defected to the Action Alliance party. The defectors led by Comrade Salaudeen Abdulraheem, former APC youth leader in Adavi local government (APC), Isiaka Haruna of Uboro/Ohepe ward in Okehi local government (PDP), and Ibrahim Mohammed, YPP Zonal chairman, West, stated that the reason behind their defection is to support the good vision and candidacy of Braimoh in the upcoming Kogi governorship election.

The atmosphere at the party secretariat was filled with joy and excitement as the decampees were warmly received by Braimoh and other party leaders. This mass defection is a clear indication of the trust and confidence these individuals have in Braimoh’s ability to lead and bring about positive change in Kogi State.

During the reception, Braimoh encouraged the new members not to be discouraged or scared by the challenges that lie ahead. He urged them to remain focused on their grassroots mobilization efforts and to work tirelessly to ensure the success of the Action Alliance party in the upcoming election.

The decision of these former members of the APC, PDP, and YPP to join the Action Alliance party is a significant development in Kogi politics. It shows that there is a growing dissatisfaction with the current political landscape and a desire for a new and transformative leadership.

Braimoh’s candidacy represents a fresh start for Kogi State, with a promise of inclusive governance, economic development, and improved infrastructure through wealth creation and distribution agenda. His track record of leadership and his commitment to the welfare of the people have earned him the trust and support of many.

The influx of new members to the Action Alliance party is a testament to the growing popularity of Braimoh and the party’s vision for Kogi State. It also signals a shift in the political dynamics of the state, as more individuals align themselves with a party that promises to prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people.

As the election draws nearer, it is clear that the Action Alliance party is gaining momentum and attracting individuals who are eager for change. The mass defection of APC, PDP, and YPP members to the party is a positive sign for Braimoh’s campaign, and it further strengthens the belief that he has what it takes to lead Kogi State to a brighter future.
