Matthew Kolawole Congratulates the new Speaker, Rt Hon. Yusuf Umar

The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Olushola Matthew Kolawole has congratulated the newly elected Speaker of the 8th Assembly, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Umar aka Assignment on his emergence as the 13th speaker of the assembly.

 

He disclosed this in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olugbemi Femi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

According to him, his emergence as the speaker will go along way to strengthen the legislative arm, urged him to work harmonizedly with the other arms, stressing that that is only way to have a peaceful state.

He said his open to offer any needed advise that will assist him to have a successful tenure, prayed that God will grant him wisdom, knowledge and good health to pilot the affairs of his new office.

He also congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the 8th assembly, appealed to them to cooperate and support their leadership to achieve great things as it is only in the atmosphere of peace and rancor free that they can perform their functions effectively and efficiently.
