May Day: ALGON Chairman Congratulates Kogi Workers, Promises Improved Welfare For L.G Workers
Caretaker Chairman of Yagba West local government area of Kogi state, Hon Tosin Olokun has paid glowing tribute to workers in Kogi State and indeed those on the payroll of the twenty one Local Government Areas Of The state as they join their counterparts around the world to mark this year’s Worker’s Day.
Hon Tosin Olokun who doubles as the Chairman of Association of Local Government Areas Chairmen ALGON also urged Nigerian workers, both in the public and private sectors, particularly those in the local government to remain productive and committed in discharging their responsibilities to move their various LGA to enviable heights.
The Caretaker Chairman, in a press statement commended all the workers in the local government for their patience, strength, passion and commitment to the development of their various local government areas, urging them not to relent in their positive contributions.
Appreciate the workers for their steadfastness and determination to put in their best despite the harsh economic realities of the day, assuring them that their sacrifice will not be in vain.
The ALGON Chairman informed workers in Kogi State that His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to improve their welfare and working conditions.
He reiterated that the administration of Governor Usman Ododo will continue to keep faith with the workers by paying their salaries and emoluments as at when due and building their capacity through training and retraining.
“I congratulate all our workers on the 2024 International Workers Day,” he said.
