May Day: Comrade Ezekiel Yelwa Salutes Civil Servants.

A renown Philanthropist, Community Leader and a grassroots Unionist, Comrade Ezekiel Musa Yelwa, says Civil Servants are courageous and Engine room of every Government.

He stated this at Ropp Garden in Jos where he hosted thousands of civil servants in the state comprising NULGE,NUT,NLC among other Unions and non civil servants to dine and wine after strenuous activities in offices and match pass at the stadium to mark the International Workers day.

He describes the day as the way Christians Celebrate Christmas and Easter as well as Muslims celebrate Sallah, that’s how the International Labour Day is Significant to them.

Ezekiel Musa Yelwa,Who hails from Jos East Local Government Area is a staff of finance department of Quan’Pan LGA and is vying for the position of the President of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) at the Forthcoming Election.

On the issue of the welfare of the civil servants most especially the Local Government staff, Government has done a lot especially the state Government, just last two days, the local Government staff receives their two months wage awards though like Oliver twist we need more to it especially now that the cost of living is almost unbearable.

Our Retire civil servants too should be given their entitlements as when due because everyone of us is a potential retiree.

As a Presidential Candidate of our great Union,if elected, staff welfare will be my cardinal objective.

The workers day celebration was peacefully celebrated in the state without any hitches as workers in the state came out en mass to celebrate the day.
