Meet Iyara Born Sub. Lieutenant in United States of America Army, Oloruntoba Gideon Ibitoye

Oloruntoba Gideon ibitoye, an accomplished professional from Iyara, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi state, North central Nigeria has demonstrated exceptional expertise and commitment across various sectors, with a robust academic foundation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Joseph ayo Babalola University, Arakeji in Ondo State and Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from Kogi State Polytechnic.

He further advanced his knowledge with a Master’s in Engineering Management from Youngstown State University in the United States of America.

He is currently undergoing a doctorate program in Educational Leadership at the same university.

Oloruntoba’s career spans diverse roles in both the public and private sector.

He served as a 2nd lieutenant in the Ohio Military Reserve, United States of America where he played a pivotal role in disaster preparedness, emergency response and resources mobilization.

As a safety and Health Coordinator for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, he ensured compliance with safety regulations and conducted critical training for staff and inmates.

In Nigeria, his leadership as Head of Forestry with the Federal Ministry of Environment highlighted his dedication to sustainable environment practice.

He managed programs, enforced environment laws, and facilitated awareness seminars to promote ecology balance.

Additionally, he worked with the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) as Head of Exploration, where he optimized oil well operations and enforced environmental safety protocols.

Oloruntoba ‘s technical acumen was further demonstrated in his role as Granite Quarry Manager at Nikko Engineering Limited, where he oversaw production, safety, and training.

His passion for innovation extends to cyber security, where he is certified in CompTIA Security Plus, among other qualifications.

Notably, Oloruntoba’s public service contributions include coordinating the Afinju Award during the tenure of Governor Rafiu Aregbesola in Osun state, showcasing his ability to manage large scale events and foster community engagement.

An individual of integrity, strong leadership, and technical prowess, Oloruntoba Gideon ibitoye continues to exemplify excellence in every endeavor he undertakes, making him a valued asset In both technical and leadership capacities.
