Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Condoles APC National Chairman Over Mother’s Passing
The Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, paid a condolence visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwadta, who passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
Prince Audu, who paid the condolence visit to Prof. Yilwatda on Thursday, September 18, at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, urged the Party Chairman and his family to take solace in the fact that Mama Lydia lived a fulfilled life and has gone to rest in the bosom of the Lord.
He noted that tributes from family, friends, and associates portray Mama Lydia as a woman of deep faith, virtue, and resilience, whose life of service and moral uprightness shaped the values of her family and left a lasting impact on her community.
The Minister stated that Mama Lydia’s legacy is evident in the exemplary leadership and character of her son, the APC National Chairman, adding that her passing is a great loss not only to her immediate family but also to the APC family and all who benefitted from her wisdom and kindness.
Prince Audu prayed for the peaceful repose of Mama Lydia’s soul and asked Almighty God to grant the Chairman, his family, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“On behalf of my wife, family and the entire staff and management of the Ministry of Steel Development, please accept my heartfelt condolences,” Prince Audu stated.
