NASS; Building Capacity for Improve Standards,

In line with his mandate and focus, the National Assembly,NASS under the management of Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana as Clerk of the National Assembly CNA is going by it’s words through training and retraining of the entire workforce numbering over 7,000, which included the Legislative Aides of Federal Lawmakers.

Not compromising the ethics and lay down procedures,the administrative guru and head of the National Assembly management embarked on the training of directors on the intricacies of leadership in the current dispensation.

With the Renewed Hope Agenda, RHA of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it is obvious that refresher training and retraining for over two hundred directors in the National Assembly became imminent and germane, to enable deliver not only on the mandate of the organization, but the new Nigeria leadership.

Therefore , the need to cocoon the psyche of the directorates of the National Assembly became demanding, hence the leadership determination towards doing the needful and to trickle down to other workers.

The recent directors training for the directorates of the National Assembly was also to create to additional experience, having observed that they are “the most experienced and educated workforce of the institution.”

With the theme of the event , “Leadership Master Class for Effective Corporate Governance” in line with building strong and virile institution , discipline, improved governance and sustained staff welfare.

Kamoru alive to it’s responsibility, has insisted in building a workforce that strengthens corporate governance, professionalism , within one of the largest bureaucracies.

With deep commitment into capacity building, the CNA on many occasions or routinely on annual basis carried out refresher training for all categories of staff of NASS, to enable them fit into their primary assignment, eventualities and to also assist the diverse federal lawmakers thrive in their plenary, constituency and oversights obligations.

A trained workforce, particularly at the directorates level, is always alive to it’s responsibility in the area of deployment of bureaucratic instructions, management and supervision of other categories of workers at other levels without encumbrance.

As the engine room of NASS, directors are expected to be grounded in decision making , other areas demanding urgent and needed attention to ensure seamless performance.

Under the current leadership of Kamoru Ogunlana, no doubt the psyche, disposition and display of all categories of the workforce in the organization has gradually shaped their performances , in line with the new order through training and constant retraining.

All hands must be on deck to support the reforms been carried out by Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana, the CNA to NASS.
