NIGER STATE GOVERNMENT TO COMMENCE WARD DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

***AS FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG APC MEMBERS.

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has stated that his administration will soon commence Ward Development Projects across the State.

The Farmer Governor stated this during the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders meeting held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House Minna.

He said the Ward Development Project initiative aimed at bringing government closer to the people, would engender rapid growth and development, especially at the grassroots.

The farmer Governor said Committees will be set up in that regard to ensure successful implementation.

He also noted the need for the APC leadership in the State to organise town hall meetings where critical stakeholders in the State will interact with the people to know their plights with the view to addressing them.

The farmer Governor appreciated the leadership and all members of the APC in the State for their support to his New Niger agenda, enjoined them to continue to unite for the growth and development of the Party in particular and the State in general.

On the issue of insecurity in some parts of the State, Farmer Governor Umaru Bago described the situation as worrisome, but that his Government is not relenting, as it is making frantic efforts to address the situation squarely.

He expressed dismay over those who act as informants to the bandits, describing them as major obstacles in fighting insecurity.

The farmer Governor said security agents would go after them and deal with them decisively.

He called on all Nigerlites to be cooperative with security agents by providing useful information that would help in curtailing banditry and other criminal activities.

The farmer Governor also used the medium to encourage Nigerlites to key into his agricultural revolution of feeding the Nation as the State Government has invested heavily on Agriculture and is yielding positive results already.

The Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, the APC National Vice Chairman, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau and the Acting Niger State APC Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi in their separate remarks commended the achievements of Farmer Governor Umaru Bago especially in terms of infrastructural development and other key areas, saying it has placed the State on the path of greatness.

Also speaking during the meeting where the Former Niger State Governor and Senator representing Niger North, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello, his counterpart representing Niger East, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa applauded the developmental strides of the present administration in the State, describing it as unprecedented.

They all promised to continue to support the people-oriented policies and programmes of the farmer Governor.
