NIGERIA @63: BAUCHI SPEAKER FELICITATES WITH NIGERIANS, TASKS YOUTH TO TAKE LEAD IN AGRICULTURE, PRIVATE SECTOR

Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman has felicitated with the people of Bauchi State and all Nigerians on the occasion of 63rd anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.

The Speaker said that Nigeria has attained appreciable level of development in all sectors of human endeavour, hence the reason all Nigerians celebrate the auspicious day.

He recalled the sacrifices made by the Country’s founding fathers and the political, religious and community leaders which saw Nigeria emerging strong and united despite many challenges that the Country faced since 1960.

However the Speaker noted that problems of insecurity, inflation, economic downturn and corruption are still posing serious danger to the existence and progress of the Country, stressing the need for all Nigerians to take leap from our heroes past by making sacrifices and joining hands with the authorities to bring lasting solutions to the cancerous problems bedeviling Nigeria.

As a solution to the serious hardship and dwindling economy of the Country, Speaker tasks youth in the Country to take lead in agriculture and private sector, saying heavy reliance on civil service and other paid jobs spell doom to the prosperity and economic status of Nigerians.

He commended the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad CON (Kauran Bauchi) for turning the misfortunes of the State around since his emergence as Governor in 2019, describing the Governor as the true heir of the founding father and first Prime Minister of Nigeria Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa of blessed memory.

While praying to Almighty Allah to bless Nigeria and bring solution to its problems, the Speaker stated that the Bauchi State House of Assembly will remain strong and resolute in enacting laws and legislations that will continue to put the State in the pedestal of economic growth and development.
