The Nigeria Police Women under Zone 8 Headquarters and the Kogi State Police Command commemorated 70 years of women in the Nigeria Police Force with a commemorative rally and acts of compassion across Lokoja today, Thursday 27th November, 2025.
The officers marched in a procession, symbolizing seven decades of service, resilience, and shared womanhood. They distributed sanitary pads, writing materials, and refreshments to pupils of the Nigeria Police Primary School, and held a healthcare awareness lecture on body sensitivity, personal hygiene, and reporting misconduct.
The police women visited Ministry Of Mercy (MOM) Orphanage Home, sharing relief materials, including food items, detergents, and other essentials. Mr. Samuel Ibrahim, Director of MOM Orphanage, expressed gratitude, praising the police women as “mothers to the motherless”.
