Nigeria’s Steel Industry Set for Revival as National Steel Summit 2025 Kicks Off

The Ministry of Steel Development is hosting its maiden National Steel Summit 2025, themed “Rebuilding and Consolidating Nigeria’s Steel Industry: Collaborative Action for Sustainable Growth and Global Competitiveness”.

The two-day summit, scheduled for August 13-14, 2025, at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre in Abuja, aims to revive and develop the nation’s steel sector.

– Special Keynote Address: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a keynote address, underscoring the government’s commitment to the steel industry’s growth.

Technical Sessions: Industry experts and dignitaries will share insights and experiences, identifying policy and infrastructure gaps hindering the sector’s progress.

– Investment Opportunities: The summit will explore potential investment opportunities, paving the way for collaboration and sustainable development.

-Consensus Roadmap: Stakeholders will work towards adopting a roadmap for the revival and sustainable growth of Nigeria’s steel sector.

The summit aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, seeking to reposition the steel industry as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s industrial growth and economic resilience.

By bringing together key stakeholders, the summit aims to critically evaluate the state of the steel industry and chart a path for sustainable development.
