NIPR LAUDS GOV. ABDULRASAQ OVER APPOINTMENT OF ITS MEMBERS AS GMs of
RADIO KWARA & KWTV
The Kwara State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has commended the state Governor and the chairman of the Nigerian Governors ‘ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for appointing two of it’s members, as the Chief Executives of the Kwara state Broadcasting Corporation(Radio Kwara) and Kwara State Television Service (KWTV).
The Governor with these giant strides, has further demonstrated his passion for putting round pegs in round holes and his greater respect for the Institute, saddled with the responsibility of ensuring image building, fence mending and crisis management.
The NIPR in a statement by the Secretary of the State chapter, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Sanni said the Institute is delighted over the reappointment of Alhaji Tajudeen Kayode Aremu as the General Manager of the State owned Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Kwara) and the appointment of the immediate past Director of Information in the state Ministry of Communications, Alhaji Abdul Rasaq Ayobami Akanbi as the new General Manager of the state owned Television Service.
It assured that the appointees, and indeed the NIPR, will continue to justify the confidence reposed in them by adding value to governance in the state.
The Institute which described information as the pivot of any sustainable democracy, assured that its members in various positions of authority, would continue to put their vast Knowledge and wealth of experience into bear in rebranding the state, through quality broadcast and information dissemination devoid of propaganda across the state and beyond.
The NIPR equally appreciated the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye for his tremendous support, pointing out that he has been a worthy ambassador of the Institute.
