NOVEMBER 11 IS A REFERENDUM ON THE GYB ADMINISTRATION – FANWO

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has said the November 11, 2023 Governorship Poll in the state is a referendum on the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello.

Fanwo stated this while receiving the leadership of the Ododo Support Organisation led by its Director General, Dr Aminu Adaira in his office, Tuesday.

In his address, Dr Adaira gave the assurance that the Organisation has put structures in place to to garner well over 400,000 votes for the APC Governorship Candidate, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo, saying the APC candidate has all it takes to consolidate on the achievements of Alh. Yahaya Bello.

The Director General of the Ododo Support Organisation which, an independent Campaign Platform also appointed Hon. Fanwo as its Patron.

Responding, Fanwo thanked the organisation for finding him worthy of the task ahead.

“I am grateful that you found me worthy of the task of being the Patron of this noble organisation that is clearly the most organised among all the independent platforms campaigning for our Governorship Candidate, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo”, he said.

He further stated that Alh. Usman Ododo is a detribalised leader full of capacity and good leadership qualities to lead the state forward.

“Apart from the excellent leadership qualities of Alh. Ododo, November 11 will be a referendum on the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello. Kogites will respond to the need for continuity with resounding affirmation.

“GYB has performed excellently in the area of education, healthcare, civil service reforms, agriculture, capacity building, youth and women inclusion, security and many others. Ododo was a member of his administration and a member of his political family. He will consolidate on his achievements.

“With due respect to the opposition party, they stand no chance in the coming poll. PDP that is supposed to be the main opposition party is already deserted and desolate. SDP keeps burning their own office for public sympathy. They are completely in disarray”, he said.

The Information Commissioner urged members of the Organisation to go about their electioneering peacefully, saying APC is a party of peace.

His words: “Peace is our watchword as a party. The leader of the state, Governor Yahaya Bello is a man known for peace and security. We won’t allow anyone disrupt the peace of the state before, during and after the election.

“We are not unaware of those vandalizing their office just to win public sympathy. They have forgotten that a tree without roots can never stand”, he stated.
