NSCDC in Kogi Restates Commitment To Partnering With Relevant Organisations To Achieve Set Goals
Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has restated it’s commitment to partner with groups, agencies or individuals in the quest to discharge her constitutional roles.
State Commandant of the Corps, Ahmad Ghandi Ahmad stated this when he received the State branch executive of the Red Cross at the Command headquarters, Lokoja.
Commandant Ahmad said the visit was timely in view of the forecast by NiMet that Kogi State may likely be affected by flood hence the need for collaboration to address the occurrence when it happens.
He commended the Red Cross for proposing a partnership in terms of training of its personnel more on disaster management to achieve set goals.
Earlier, the Kogi State branch of the International Federation Of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, IFRC, led by the State Secretary, Alhaji Danjuma A. Usman said the visit was centered on synergy with the NSCDC to enhance efficient delivery in thier line of duty across the State.
He promised the organisation readiness to render assistance to the Corps in the area of training some of its personnel on the Red Cross activities for results oriented purposes.
Also in a remark, a Senior Security Officer with the Red Cross, (IFRC) from Abuja , Mr Moses Taiwo said he is in the State to aid the organisation in carrying out it’s duties efficiently.
