Oba Samuel Shola Adebola Coronated 5th Olugbagun of Igbagun

The ancient town of Igbagun in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State was agog on Monday as His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Shola Adebola, the Olugbagun of Igbagun land was coronated as the 5th Olugbagun of Igbagun.

The ancestral home of the first Olugbagun, venue of the coronation ceremony was filled to capacity as resident of the community, traditional rulers across Yagba Traditional council, people of Okunland, friends and well-wishers of the Oba all trooped out to witness the historic and epoch-making event.

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo had last week Friday approved the appointment of Oba Samuel Shola Adebola to fill the vacuum created by the former Olugbagun of Igbagun, Oba Joshua Adeyemi who died in October 3, 2024.

Oba Adebola reign is projected to bring peace, harmony, development and tranquility to the community revered in the South east part of the Local government and Okun land as a whole.
