Obatomi Eunice Bironke of GSS Mopa emerges second position in Hon James Faleke Essay Writing and Debate Competition in Kogi West

A student of Government Science Secondary School Mopa, Obatomi Eunice Bironke has emerged in the second position in the Essay Writing Competition organized among secondary schools in Kogi West Senatorial District by Blue Waves (BW) Group and sponsored by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.

High Chief Seyi Olukotun, the Omoribaun of Mopaland expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Obatomi Eunice Bironke, a student of Government Science Secondary School, Mopa, for emerging second in the Essay Writing Competition organized by Blue Waves Group and sponsored by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.

Chief Olukotun, who represented the Elulu of Mopa, HRM, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, at the event held at the Federal University, Lokoja, commended Hon. James Faleke for his initiative in promoting academic excellence among secondary school students in Kogi West Senatorial District.

He noted that the competition would help expose students’ talents and passion, particularly in the English language, which is compulsory for all students.

Chief Olukotun also revealed his connection to the event, citing his mother’s profession as an English teacher, his shared heritage with Obatomi Eunice Bironke’s grandma, and his alma mater connection with Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.

To demonstrate his support, Chief Olukotun donated #25,000 to round up the prize money to #100,000, encouraging Hon. Faleke to continue his good work.

He also congratulated Obaromi Eunice Bironke on her outstanding performance, describing her achievement as a great feat for her school.
