Odolu Community Cries Out Over Two-Month Blackout, Urges Senator Sunday Steve Karimi to Intervene Urgently

The people of Odolu Community in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State are passionately appealing to the Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi to urgently wade into the prolonged power outage that has thrown the entire community into total darkness for over two months.

This lingering blackout has brought untold hardship upon residents, crippling businesses, disrupting academic activities, endangering lives in healthcare facilities, and escalating insecurity as the absence of electricity continues to embolden criminal activities under the cover of darkness.

Artisans, market women, students, and the elderly are all groaning under the weight of this infrastructural collapse. The social and economic life of the community has been paralyzed, and hopes are fast fading as the blackout persists with no clear solution in sight.

We, the undersigned stakeholders and leaders of Odolu Ward, are calling on Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, a man known for his responsive leadership and commitment to grassroots development, to come to the aid of his people. We believe that your timely and decisive intervention will not only restore power but also rekindle the hope and trust of our people in democratic representation.

Our community can no longer afford to remain in darkness. We call on the Senator to liaise with the relevant authorities, including the electricity distribution companies and government agencies, to ensure that Odolu is reconnected to the grid without further delay.

The areas affected include FEHINTI/SBSS/ORITA OPOLO

We trust in your capacity to act swiftly and decisively, and we look forward to a positive and immediate response.

Signed:

High Chief Dare Yomi-Johnson (Otunba)
Community Leader

Comr. Jide Oluyori
Odolu Ward APC Secretary

Hon. (Chief) Adekunle Smart Adekunle (Smart)
Former Councilor, Odolu Ward

Hon. Kayode Omosayin
Odolu Ward APC Leader
