Ojo-Araman Kunfayekun Islamic Prayer Center Mourns Chief Bamayi Idu

The Ojo-Araman Kunfayekun Islamic Prayer Center, lokoja ,Kogi State has mourned the death of one of its members, Chief Bamayi Idu, the Omachi Atta Wali, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
In a condolence message signed by the Founder and Leader of the Prayer Center, Sheikh Hassan Mikailu Abejukolo described the news of Chief Bamayi’s demise as shocking and grievous, noting that his death is a great loss to the Centre, the Islamic community, and the entire Igala Kingdom.
“Though difficult to accept, we must remain religiously and philosophically inclined to accept death as the will of Almighty Allah, who gives life and takes it whenever He pleases,” Sheikh Hassan stated.
He described the deceased as a devoted member who, despite his busy schedule, always found time to attend important programmes of the Centre, particularly its annual Maulud celebration, a gesture he said was highly appreciated and encouraging.
The Islamic cleric further prayed Almighty Allah to grant the immediate family and loved ones of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss and to forgive his shortcomings.
Sheikh Hassan also admonished members and the entire Muslim Ummah to remain obedient to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), so that death an inevitable end for every human being will not meet them unprepared.
