Olayinka Braimoh Tours Bunu Land, Promises to End Infrastructural Decay

For the past fourteen years, the people of Iluke in the Bunu axis of Kabba-Bunu Local Government have been without power, just as their neighbors at Akutupa and Ayetoro Kiri find it hard to sell their farm produce outside their villages because of the deplorable condition of their roads. But their plights could come to an end as early as November 11 if the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Olayinka Braimoh, wins the governorship race

Braimoh gave the assurance during his tour of Bunu Land, where he was able to see for himself the hardship of the people and the level of infrastructural decays plaguing the communities.

The AA candidate and his convoy were stuck in the bad portion of the Ayetoro Kiri road for about four hours and needed the help of the youths of the community to maneuver their way through the Okegiro hill at Iluke-Akutupa-Abuji road. He said the situation is bad for commerce in the area and vowed to emancipate them once he wins on November 11.

“No infrastructures to help the livelihood of our people” he lamented. “These are parts of the issues we want to resolve in terms of our wealth creation. For us to be able to empower our people, infrastructure is critical. We are focused on winning this election for the liberation of our people from poverty” he said.

He said his assignment includes wealth creation and wealth distribution.

The governorship candidate was warmly received at Ayetoro Kiri, Akutupa, Iluke, Ofere and other Bunu villages visited during the tour. He also paid homage on traditional rulers in the areas, including the Adetoro of Ayetoro Kiri Bunu, Olusegun Emmanuel Durowaye, Olukiri of Kiri

Potential voters in the area who complained of neglects by successive administrations in the state are optimistic of victory for Braimoh on November 11, saying this will change the narrative for the area and Kogi State as a whole.

“Every Sunday we the youths of Akutupa meet and strategize for his victory”, Emmanuel Bayeri, the youth leader of Akutupa said. “Olayinka Braimoh is a very good man who will bring development to the land if he wins. That is why we are all working for him”.

The youths and elders of Bunu cited his philanthropic activities as some of the reasons they are sure he would take the state to new heights of progress if given the mandate to govern Kogi State.

The AA candidate was also commended for making the party a household name in the state as many people already see him as one of the brightest minds in the state and a candidate with a clear vision for a prosperous Kogi State.
