The Olowu of Orile-Owu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dauda Ajolola Akinfalabi, has vehemently denied rumors of his dethronement as the monarch of Orile-Owu in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State.
Oba Akinfalabi attributed his legitimacy to a court ruling that favored him. He stated that he won a court case in 2016 at the High Court in Osogbo, where the then Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, presented him with the Staff of Office.
The Olowu clarified that a retrial ordered by the Appeal Court does not imply dethronement.
He also dismissed allegations that he sold community land to acquire personal benefits, stating that land allocations were made for development projects, including an airport, and that the proceeds would be used for community development.
