Olukiri to Braimoh: You Did a Quality Job on Borehole, Other Projects in Kiri School
Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom, Oba James Ikusemore, and other traditional rulers in the 11 communities in the area have commended the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the November 11 gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Mr. Olayinka Braimoh for the quality job done by the workers he engaged to construct a borehole and those working on the two blocks of three classrooms each and administrative building inside the compound of the Kiri High School, Araromi-Akutupa, for the benefit of the students and the community.
The traditional rulers while receiving Braimoh and his delegation in Kiri expressed their appreciation to him for the borehole project and the seriousness that the workers he deployed on it attached to the timely and effective completion of the job.
“It shows you are a man who cares about quality and who knows that only the best is good for your people. We do not doubt that this is the same thing you will do for the rest of the state and with public works or projects around the state if God answers your prayers and you are elected governor.
“As the construction of the blocks of classrooms and the administrative building is progressing, my Chiefs and I will also be visiting the project site from time to time to inspect the progress. We hope the same quality demonstrated on the borehole will be replicated. We know that you are a construction expert and giant, we must see that in these projects, despite the difficult terrain. Our spirits are praying for you. May God Almighty continue to uplift you.
“Traditional rulers are not politicians. We only want the best for our people because we are the closest to them. We therefore will be here to receive all candidates. We are keen observers and we are making our assessment to see who will best represent the interest of the people.
“We cannot receive you without going back to history. Your late father was a good man. He was a devoted and selfless community leader. We all loved him as he devoted his skill as a teacher to capacity development, good upbringing, and moral rectitude among the future generation of his time. Today, all over Kogi West and beyond, his mentees and students are doing well across the state and beyond, even up to present Kwara State”, the Oba said in a speech that enjoyed the support of other traditional rulers present at the meeting.
The Olukiri then called on Oba O. A. Aledare, the Oluke of Ike to pray for the candidate of the AA so that God will bless his efforts and protect him as well as his delegation as they traverse the whole of the 21 local government areas in the state.
In his short speech, Braimoh said he decided to visit the traditional rulers after learning that they were holding just their monthly meetings where they deliberate on the development of their community.
He urged the traditional rulers to continue to pray for him and his team as he is determined to tour all the nooks and crannies of the state spreading his message on the need for Kogi State people to usher in a new era of development, wealth creation, retention, distribution and sustainable development.
