Omala, Ankpa LGA Students Honours Hon. Umar Yahaya With Meritorious and Legislative Leader Award in Education.
The Member, Representing Omala State Constituency in the State Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya was at the weekend was presented with Meritorious and Legislative Leader Award in Education by Omala and Ankpa LG Students in Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba and Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja respectively.
The award is in recognition of the Lawmaker’s support towards growth and development of Kogi East Students in Nigeria.
The students said the Lawmaker has distinguished himself in all ramifications, pointing out that his contributions to students empowerment in the history of the two local government areas, remains unrivaled.
The students urged other Lawmakers and representatives of the people to emulate the kind gesture of Hon. Umar in the empowerment of students and the future leaders.
The students praised the Lawmaker’s scholarship and bursary scheme, his computer empowerment program, overall development of the federal Constituency before and now as a Lawmaker.
He his remarks, Hon. Umar said he feels truly honored to receive the Awards for exemplary performance.
He expressed his big thank you to Omala and Ankpa LGAs’ Students for the recognition of his little efforts, promised to do more in the coming days.
He said his health Constituency project, geared towards building health centers in two locations of Abejukolo and in other community is geared to contribute to providing primary health care and reducing infants and maternal mortality rate of children and women.
He described the award and recognition as highly appreciated, said it will serve as a significant motivator to continue to do more in service to humanity.
