Ondo Guber Iyantan Urges APC To Consider Direct Primary For Ondo Governorship Election

In a bid to ensuring a fair and transparent governorship primary election in Ondo State, the national leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) has been advised to adopt direct primary Prince Diran Iyantan has called on the national leadership of the APC to consider the option of direct mode of primary.
Prince Duran Iyantan, one of the leading governorship aspirants in the state made the call on Tuesday after obtaining the expression of interest and governorship nomination forms of the party in Abuja.
He emphasized the need for a direct primary to prevent moneybags from hijacking the process and buying votes.
The former Board member of National Population Commission (NPC) said: “We must uphold the sanctity of the primary election process to ensure that the most qualified aspirant emerges as the party’s candidate for the November 2024 governorship election.”

Governorship Campaign, Iyantan expressed confidence in securing victory in the primary election.
He assured that his leadership would bring about a positive change for the people of Ondo State, expressing his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and promised to work towards economic growth and development in the state.
Iyantan also emphasized the importance of allowing politicians of the progressive extraction in Ondo State to have their chance at producing the next governor. He reiterated, “It’s the turn of the core progressive to lead Ondo State. Awalokan. Progressive L’okan.”
He said it he assumed the management of the state’s affairs, the people of Ondo State could look forward to a brighter future filled with hope and progress.
