One year anniversary: Kogi Central youths congratulate Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar, thank him for his efforts towards revitalisation of Ajaokuta

Youths under the aegis of Kogi Central Youths on Wednesday, August 21, 2024; congratulated Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar on his one year anniversary as Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The youths who are from Kogi Central senatorial zone of the Kogi State, applauded Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar for being very passionate about the revitalisation of Ajaokuta steel company.
“In as much as the job of reviving the steel industry in Nigeria is concerned, Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar is the only Minister to show the type of remarkable passion we the people of Kogi Central, Kogi State and Nigerians and the whole world have ever seen.
“Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar is brilliantly getting the job done. He is ensuring he gets Nigeria and Nigerians the best the steel industry in Nigeria can get.
“Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar is ensuring Nigeria does not repeat the mistakes of the past. He is ensuring Nigeria does not make any mistake of entering into any wrong deal in as much the need to revitalize the steel industry in Nigeria is concerned. He is taking his time to get Nigeria the best steel deal possible. The past one year has shown him as the best man for the job and we thank His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the gift of such a Minister.
“We the youths of Kogi Central pass a vote of confidence in Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar and we thank him specially for his efforts towards ensuring Ajaokuta Steel Company works already. We are very grateful as a people. We are very thankful as the home-region where the Ajaokuta Steel Company is situated.
“When the Ajaokuta Steel Company is revived, Kogi Central will benefit alot as the home-region where the plant is situated.
“We want to use this day to tell Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar to not relent at all and that he should not mind his detractors. We want him to remain very focused as we in Kogi Central are counting on him to deliver Ajaokuta Steel Company and that he will be the Minister who got the steel industry in Nigeria working. We see his zeal, we see his sincerity on the job, we see his round-the-clock efforts and commitments and we are already seeing activities regarding the Ajaokuta Steel Company especially the recent visit of the Russian team to the plant. These are good signs that Ajaokuta Steel Company will work indeed under this Renewed Hope Administration of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and under the leadership of Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar, Honourable Minister of Steel Development,” the Kogi Central youths said.
“We are also aware of the Memorandum of Understanding between Steel Development Ministry and the Ministry of Defence through DICON (Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria) regarding putting Ajaokuta to use already in ways that will help Nigeria’s security cost and that will yet create jobs for millions of Nigerian youths while also helping the economy of Kogi State in the process when the Memorandum of Understanding takes effect in Ajaokuta. We are also aware of the plan to have a CNG park in Ajaokuta. We as a region, the Kogi Central senatorial zone of Kogi State, the home-region of this much-talked-about Ajaokuta, we are very grateful for how Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar has taken us as a priority. Nobody else before now has given us the much-needed development attention we need like Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar has been doing it.
“Even in terms of human capital development and empowerments, we the people of Kogi State regardless of senatorial zone have been benefiting from him. He is a highly detribalised Minister. He has created jobs for a lot of Kogites through his personality as our Minister and he has assisted with empowerment programmes, for instance, through him, thousands of Kogites received the “N50,000 per person” Presidential grant. He has also facilitated over 200 indirect jobs for we the people of Kogi State into the steel industry.
“These are just some of the many good things he has done for Kogi State and Kogi State citizens.
“Prince Shuaibu Audu Abubakar is a leader, he does not discriminate, he is passionate about getting the job done; and we are very grateful to have him as the Minister representing Kogi State in the Federal Executive Council.
“On this day, we wish him a happy one year anniversary as Minister of the Federal Republic. We are very proud of him as his fellow Kogites,” the Kogi Central youths further said.
