“One Year of Significant Governance” – Oba Ibeun Celebrates Gov. Ododo
As of today, Monday, 27th of January, 2025, His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, makes one year in office as the Governor of Kogi State. The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, has described it as one year of significant governance.
In a statement signed by the Monarch, he mentioned some of the notable achievements of Gov. Ododo’s administration, which includes infrastructure development, with over 100 kilometres of roads rehabilitated and reconstructed, with contracts for over 300 kilometres underway.
He said the Governor has also prioritized education, revitalizing health facilities and ensuring broader access to quality care.

Oba Ibeun emphasized that Governor Ododo has not disappointed Kogi masses, laying on the pragmatic political and developmental foundation laid by the immediate former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
The Monarch also expressed optimism in the coming years under the administration of Governor Ododo, assuring Kogi people to be confident in the Governor for a secured and prosperous Kogi State.
