OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR AHMED USMAN ODODO ON THE OUTSTANDING SALARIES OF FORMER POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS BETWEEN 2012- 2016

PASSIONATE APPEAL FOR THE PAYMENT OF OUR OUTSTANDING SALARIES.

On behalf of all the good people of this forum, I write to plead with you for the payment of our outstanding Three months salaries to enable us settle some of our financial obligations in the face of the ongoing hardship in the country.
Your Excellency Sir, we are political office Holders between year 2012 to 2016 who had served Kogi State with all our strength. It was very unfortunate that during the period of our SINCERE SERVICES to our dear state, Four Months salaries was outstanding before the completion of our tenure of office in 2016.
Upon the assumption of office of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello (The White Lion Himself) we made several appeals to him and our pleas yielded a positive response towards the end of his tenure. Former Governor Yahaya Bello gave approval for the payment of ONE month out of the outstanding FOUR months.
To show our appreciation to the Governor, we pulled some resources together as an eligible VOTERS in the state and went the extra miles to work for the Victory of ODODO-JOEL GOVERNORSHIP PROJECT.
We started our campaign for ODODO-JOEL by registering as one of the Support Groups with the ODODO-JOEL GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN COUNCIL under the Chairmanship of Hon. Mukthar Atimah (Kindly find attached, our Certificate of Registration).
We went further to secure an office accommodations whic enable us to seamlessly carry out all campaign activities for ODODO-JOEL.
Your Excellency Sir, it may interest you to know that the campaign office was unveiled by His Excellency, Comrade Joel Oyibo, the current Deputy Governor of our dear state on your behalf.
More importantly sir, during the unveiling ceremony of our campaign office, we presented some campaign souvenirs like Customized T-shirts and Faz Caps, Posters, flex Banners and evidence of the Giant Billboards we have installed across the State to the Deputy Governor.
We equally directed all our members to vote en-masse for ODODO-JOEL during the election on the 11th of November, 2023. Your Excellency, this period is a very critical one for all of us. The MEN among us has turned to WOMEN at home as we can no longer carry out our responsibilities as FATHERS.
Our children are set to go back to school and we need to pay their SCHOOL FEES. Kindly consider the PAYMENT of our Salary to enable us do the needful for our families.
Your Excellency, within this short period of your assumption of office, you have POSITIVELY CHANGED THE NARRATIVES surrounding the payment of SALARIES in the State.
Today, the State Civil Servants are happy with you. The LGA Staff and PENSIONERS are equally happy with your Excellency.
We are also Happy with you sir but we will be MORE HAPPIER than others if you grant our request.
