Opinion; Teina Has Finally Stepped On A Slippery Banana Peel And Has Injured Himself

Let me start by saying that some people from Kogi Central that were privileged to get into the unmerited favour list and made appointees from the evergreen enviable leadership qualities from vessels like Fmr. Gov. Yahaya Bello and the present Gov. Ododo; who have in no small measures affected their lives positively are nothing but ingrates.

Sad enough, Samari Teina Abdulmalik, popularly known as Teina, a former Director-General, Bureau of Lands & Urban Development that was axed from office some months back is now topping the list of ungrateful souls.
When the news of the sack of Teina got to my ears, I was not in any way surprised at all. All along, when Fmr. Gov. Yahaya Bello employed Teina as the man to replace the former DG Lands named Nazir Ochi, I knew it that Teina as a leaking pot will still leak in Lokoja after he leaked in Abuja as at the time he worked with Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS).
Teina actually knows his undoings with this firm that he worked with before he was shown the way out.
The rejoinder titled, RE: REPORT ON THE LAND ACQUIRED BY THE KOGI STATE GOVERNMENT OPPOSITE FAREC written by Teina and made available to the public with his letter headed paper which reads: TEINA AND ASSOCIATES LIMITED shows the myopic sense available to Teina.
The letter written to Teina by Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike Ayoade Ph.D, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State was not in any way answered by Teina when he unashamedly used his letter headed paper to reply with some disjointed English words available to him.
The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State simply wrote to him on the order of the Governor that he should refund the sum of two hundred and four million, nine hundred and twenty-two thousand, and twenty two naira naira (N204,922,022.00).
It is good for the public to be well aware that it was after the Special Audit of the Kogi State Bureau of Lands and Urban Development by the State Auditor-General’s Office on the Land acquired by the Bureau which is exactly opposite FAREC that Teina was found to have misappropriated a whopping sum earlier mentioned and asked to refund it.
One pertinent question that Teina is yet to answer is whether he actually transferred or did not transfer the large sum of money made available to him to pay the Federal Government, the owners of the property opposite FAREC into his own account and some other persons.
Teina out of his own volition decided to deviate from the crucial matter at stake to rather give a narration that is out of place and further plunging himself into a legal quagmire to make this case more hazardous to him.
There is the need to wonder why Teina will descend so low to come up with a narratives that is far flung from a fund he allegedly embezzled and weaving a story around it that his refusal to be redeployed to a lower office is what is prompting this case.
This shows how much of an ingrate Teina is. A man that was totally shattered and finding it hard to make both ends meet and jerked back to life by the compassionate and merciful acts of Fmr. Gov. Yahaya Bello and Gov. Ododo is now seen body spewing thrash instead of him to be remorseful and refund to the state coffers the chunky amount of money has diverted for his personal gains.
The heartless Teina came up with some other issues in the rejoinder that he wrote where he dodged the main issue expected of him to answer. Whatever he must have written is best known to him and surely, the security operatives will surely quiz him more for his shady deals to be revealed. We are all waiting to see how more documents will be revealed and the final banana peel fall of Teina will become a talk of the day.
