Pa Stephen Dada Olowosegun Buried in Grand style, as Dignitaries from all walks of life attend

The remains of Pa Stephen Dada Olowosegun, head of Ijemu Ayan, Ayede-Otu Clan in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area have been committed to Mother Earth in Kabba amidst commendations.

Dignitaries from all walks of life and family members on Friday gathered at Kabba, headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial District to pay their last respects to the Late Community Leader.

Speaking during the Funeral service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew, Kabba, Bishop of the Diocese l, Rt. Rev. Stephen Kayode Akobe reminded the congregation that the life of Pa Olowosegun should be a reminder of the fact that all men will die and give an account of their stewardship before God.

According to Rt. Rev. Akobe, having affiliation with great men of God and holding positions in the Church does not guarantee a man of eternity, pointing out that Pa Olowosegun served God meritoriously during his lifetime.

While stressing the need for hard work which he noted is the cornerstone for prosperity, Bishop Akobe enjoined the congregation to seek eternal life.

“There’s nothing in this world. If you like women, after carrying different sizes, you will know that everything is vanity. That is why Solomon in the Bible said about this world that all is vanity.

The Bishop, who described the deceased as a godly and selfless man, prayed to God to console the family and urged them to sustain the legacies of their father to the end.

Speaking on behalf of the family, a son of the deceased, Ven. Dr Toyin Olowosegun said his Late Father lived a life worthy of emulation, describing him as a unifier, counsellor, builder and a good husband and father to their mother and children respectively.

Pa Olowosegun, who died on the 11th of September, was survived by his wife, Children and grandchildren, among who is Mrs Bidemi Olowosegun, Hon. Ayo Olowosegun

The burial ceremony was attended by the National Deputy Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Duro Meseko, Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) and a former PDP Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Bolufemi Rotimi, Hon Saiye Sunday, APC Chairman of Chairmen in Kabba-Bunu Local Government, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Chairman/CEO Michabifem Ventures Limited publisher of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Otu Ward APC Members,
