PASTOR BABATUNDE SAMUEL AKA ESHANUAJE TO RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE AWARD

A respected cleric and community leader, Pastor Babatunde Samuel, popularly known as Eshanuaje, is set to receive a prestigious Youth Empowerment and Community Development Service Award from DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development and grassroots service.
The award will be presented to him at the newspaper’s 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja at 5:00pm.
The event is being organized to mark 27 Years of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria with the theme: “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigerian Example.”
Announcing the honour, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, described Pastor Eshanuaje as a selfless servant of God and the people whose dedication to empowering young people and uplifting communities has made a lasting impact.
“Pastor Babatunde Samuel, Eshanuaje, has consistently used his platform to mentor youths, promote skill acquisition, and provide humanitarian support to the less privileged. His work reflects the true spirit of service and community development,” Chief Femi stated.
Over the years, Pastor Eshanuaje has spearheaded various programmes focused on youth mentorship, vocational training, education support, and poverty alleviation. His ministry and outreach efforts have touched thousands of lives across different communities in Nigeria.
In his response, Pastor Eshanuaje expressed appreciation to DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper for the recognition. He dedicated the award to God, his congregation, and all young people striving for a better future.
“This award is a call to do more. Empowering our youths and serving our communities is a divine assignment, and I remain committed to using every opportunity to make a positive difference,” he said.
The ceremony will also feature a keynote lecture by leading policy experts and the induction of other distinguished Nigerians into the Good Governance Hall of Fame for their contributions to democracy, leadership, and national development.
Government officials, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders from across the country are expected to grace the occasion.
