Pastor Femi Obalemo, FCA Wants the proposed University sited in Odo-Ape, Commends Governor Yahaya Bello, says University in Okunland a welcome development
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded House of Assembly election for Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, Pastor Femi Obalemo, FCA has commended Governor Yahaya Bello Led administration for approving the establishment of a State owned University in Okun Land, stressing that it is a welcome development and good for the Okun people.
He said the project will go a long way to stimulate the economic base of the people and also bring tertiary education closer to the upcoming generations of the area. He said that it is an established fact by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Abuja that Odo- Ape community is the largest producer of cassava in Nigeria, Odo- Ape is the highest producer of grains and yam tubers in Kogi state. Hence Odo Ape accommodates the highest number of farmers in Kogi State.
He therefore suggests that the proposed university should be Agriculture Based and sited in Odo – Ape
He said Odo- Ape community being friendly to strangers and neighbouring communities, will be apt for the state government to consider. The community is blessed with abundant expanse arable land.

He urged Okun people to welcome the proposed university, stressing that the Governor should be appreciated for this kind gesture.
