PDP Congress Accepts Joe Agada’s Withdrawal, Insists on No Imposition

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Congress Committee has accepted Captain Joe Agada’s withdrawal from the race, stating that there is no room for imposition in the party’s democratic processes, Capt Joe Agada was expecting to be announced as the state chairman Unopposed, such practice is no longer acceptable.

In a statement signed by the Head of Media Committee, Comrade Usman Okai Austin, the Congress described Agada’s expectation to be announced unopposed as “outdated and anti-democratic”. Okai dismissed Agada’s reasons for withdrawal as “mere excuses” and emphasized that the party will no longer yield to emotional blackmail.

The statement reiterated that the conduct of the state Congress is strictly reserved for the PDP National Working Committee, not a caretaker committee under Senator Danjuma Lah. The party remains committed to ensuring free and fair processes in all its democratic activities.
