There is no doubt that the North Central Zone is blessed with capable hands that will be able to drive the PDP to greater heights and to steer the ship to Political Victories.

However, one person who stands out for the time and season at hand is Dr. Phillips O Salawu, a former PDP Deputy Governor from Kogi State, 2003-2012.

He was the First National Director of Finance of the PDP from 1998 to 2002, from where he went to become the Deputy Governor of Kogi State. He was also a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT,
2013-2015.

Dr. Phillips Salawu is an academic star, an intellectual with a PhD degree in Accounting and Finance.

He made a Division One with Distinction at his WASCE and bagged a First Class B.Sc degree in Accounting and won all the Prime Academic Prizes in his B.Sc program.

He is of many parts, a composite individual of many professional backgrounds.

He is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Banker, a Chartered StockBroker, a Chartered Tax Consultant, a Certified Forensic Auditor, a Chartered Mediator and Conciliator; a Lawyer: a Barrister and a Solicitor.

Dr. Phillips O Salawu attended great and important educational institutions that are well known worldwide as centres of excellence.

He attended: St. Peter’s Primary School in Ikuehi-Ihima of Kogi State, GSS Okene of Kogi State, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, London School of Economics and Political Science of the University of London, Emily Woolf College of Accountancy in High Holborn London, University of Jos, Baze University Abuja and the Nigerian Law School.

Dr. Phillips Salawu is a man of integrity, his records of performance in the Private and in the Public Sectors of the Nigerian Economy are a Testament; he is independent-minded and committed to only the interests of the PDP.

He is not aligned to any of the known Power Blocs in the PDP as of today.

Dr. Philips Salawu’s neutrality in Power-Alliance is an asset for the effective resolution of the lingering issues in the party.

Dr. Philips Salawu is rich in terms of sufficient knowledge of the history of the PDP. He is in fact, a part of the history of the party, being a founding member/ father of the Party in October 1998.

He is courageous and well prepared to tackle the emerging challenges of the party and would lead the Party to victory at this critical moment of our Nation.

Dr. Philips Salawu comes to the table with foresight, wisdom and brilliant strategy on how to effectively and efficiently tackle the emerging challenges of the Party.

Dr. Philips Salawu has always been a great respecter of the Rule of Law and the constitution of the Party. He will promote the Party Supremacy above all other sentiments or interests.

Dr. Philips Salawu is a Team Player, he is Non-Autocratic, Non-Authoritarian and
Non-Totalitarian.

Rather, he is a Democrat with Firmness, Decisiveness and Fairness.

Dr. Phillips Salawu is the best man for the job of the National Chairman of PDP.

Under his leadership, PDP will rise up again and will be better positioned ahead of 2027 as the credible alternative party that will rescue Nigeria from the gross failures and ineptitudes of the APC.

Dr. Phillips Salawu’s key agenda for PDP is covered in his “3-R” policy that is decoded to mean:

Reconciliation, Restructuring and Restoration.

He intends to reconcile all the warring individuals and groups within the party.

He intends to restructure the PDP to be able to meet up with the criteria of being the alternative to the ruling party, ahead of 2027.

He intends to restore the glory of the PDP as the biggest political party in Nigeria and in Africa.
