PDP NATIONAL CHAIRMANSHIP SEAT:
The courts must not use any judicial ambush to enable Damagum continue his unconstitutional occupation of the PDP National Chairmanship Office beyond 15th of August 2024 as any further stay in the office after that date would amount to robbery of the constitutional rights of the people of North Central geo- political zone, group says.
A group known as North Central Rights Advocates, have risen from an emergency session to declare on Wednesday 8th of May 2024, that the Acting National Chairman of the PDP in the person of Mr. Damagum, is trying to use the law courts to continually and irresponsibly “rob” the people of North Central Zone of their constitutional right to the national Chairmanship seat of the PDP.
The group also called on all the Critical Stakeholders of the PDP from the North-Eastern Geo-Political Zone, to as a matter of urgency, call Damagum to order before things fall apart to the detriment of every key stakeholder of the North Eastern extraction.

Damagum has gone too far in his misadventure and will be vehemently and ruthlessly resisted for the common sense to prevail.
“We the advocates of rights of North Central Geo-Political Zone are shocked, we went into the shock when we heard about that reckless court injunction which clearly has Damagum, a person from the North East zone of the country, as the man behind the mask, being the role beneficiary of such careless injunction.
“Damagum, take it from us today that you can not continue to preside over the affairs of PDP after 15th of August 2024 as all your actions as the so-called Acting National Chairman of the PDP after that date will be total nullities, as such actions would lack legitimacies” said the group.
The group had strongly call on the NJC, the National Judicial Council, to quickly call to order, the erring judges who are in the habits of issuing out irresponsible injunctions after some undercover settlements.
The judiciary itself is on trial in this matter, the group said.
All the other members of the PDP NWC are also warned by the group to quickly call Damagum to order to avoid the impending unpalatable consequences against them too, if Damagum remains in the Chairmanship seat after 15th of August 2024.
“The good people of North Central Zone are equal and strong Stakeholders in the affairs of the PDP. The zone played crucial roles in the formative years of PDP, the special roles that enabled the PDP to hold on to the Central Power for sixteen years.
You must not play with the sensitive interests of such group of great people.
A wise river must not forget its source, otherwise it will soon dry up.
For avoidance of doubt, the North Central Geo-Political Zone is not begging Damagum to leave the office of the National Chairman of PDP after 15th August 2024 but a command to him to do so, for his own strategic interest and equally for the strategic interests of his very zone, the North East!
We are in serious serious business of National Politics and no body should trample on other people’s constitutional rights.
Is Damagum not aware that by his current irresponsible actions, he is attempting to change the existing balance of power in the Party as set up in the Party Constitution and thereby causing some unnecessary and overheated Political turmoil that will be injurious to the National Unity of the Party?” ,the group has asserted.
The group finally implored all the other Geo-Political Zones of the PDP (North-West, South-West, South-South and South-East) to quickly intervene on this very serious matter and call Damagum to order, so as to avoid setting up a bad precedence, that an injustice to one zone is equally an injustice to all other zones of the party.
