The Group prayed for many more years of fruitful service to the people of Delta who have keyed into the MORE AGENDA for good.

The PDP Supporters Network also made a public appeal to Governor
Sheriff Oborevwori, urging him for consideration of their members for Political appointments .

This appeal was formally communicated through an open letter addressed to the Governor, highlighting the significant contributions of the PSN to the party’s successes during the 2023 gubernatorial race and the need for inclusive representation of Members of PSN in the Popular MORE Agenda governance.

The letter, signed by Comrade Paul Abaide, the State Coordinator, and Mr. Rochester Jesuteke, the State Public Relations Officer, outlined the PSN’s commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its pivotal role in grassroots mobilization and support for the Governor and all the PDP Candidates . The PSN according to them has been a formidable force within the party, playing a crucial role in the electoral victories and in promoting the party’s ideals across Delta State.

Abaide and Mr. Jesuteke in their open letter, emphasized the importance of recognizing the efforts of loyal party supporters. They argued that the inclusion of PSN members in key governmental positions would not only reward their dedication but also strengthen the bond between the government and the grassroots supporters. The letter further elaborated on how such appointments would ensure that the government’s policies and programs are effectively communicated and implemented at the grassroots level.

The Paul Abaide led PDP Supporters Network stated that during the campaign, His Excellency, Promised to listen more and do more, hence the
need of reminding him now , because our amiable Governor whose birthday we are all celebrating is a promise keeper.

The PSN’s appeal comes at a time when Governor Oborevwori is expected to make several appointments to his administration as he celebrate his 61 birthday today June 19th, 2024.
The organization believes that their members possess the requisite skills, experience, and expertise to contribute positively to the state’s development Agenda.

“Our members have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the PDP, and it is only fair that our efforts are recognized and rewarded,” the letter stated. “We are confident that Governor Oborevwori, known for his inclusive approach and appreciation of party loyalty, will consider our appeal favorably.”

The letter concluded with a reiteration of the PSN’s support for Governor Oborevwori’s administration and a pledge to continue working towards the advancement of Delta State. The PSN expressed optimism that their request would be given due consideration, thereby fostering a more inclusive and representative governance structure.

As the governor markd his birthday, the Support Group appealled that after the glizt and glamor,of the celebration, the Governor should surprise them with appointment as his birthday gift to the Group. The PSN ,they noted , remains hopeful that their call for recognition and inclusion via appointments will resonate with the administration, ensuring that dedicated party supporters are given the opportunity to serve and contribute to the state’s progress.

This open letter underscores the dynamic nature of political engagements within the PDP in Delta State, reflecting the active participation and aspirations of its grassroots supporters. The outcome of this appeal will undoubtedly influence the party’s internal dynamics and its approach to governance moving forward, they opined.
Finally they wish the Governor good health, wisdom to lead the State to greener pastures.
