President Tinubu Commends Governor Uba Sani for Peace and Development in Kaduna
Abuja, June 19, 2025 – President Bola Tinubu has commended Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for his efforts in restoring peace and harmony in the state.
According to the press statement issued by Bayo Onanuga the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the President made the commendation during an official visit to Kaduna State, where he inaugurated several projects, including the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, a 300-bed specialist hospital, and 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses.
President Tinubu praised Governor Sani for prioritizing peace among the people and initiating a healing process among the various ethnic groups in the state.
He noted that the governor had placed the state on the path of progress and promised that the Federal Government would support Kaduna State in its development agenda.
The President also conferred a national honor, Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), on Col. Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, a former governor of the state and June 12 activist.
He also commended the traditional rulers in the state for their support for the governor’s efforts in promoting peace and stability.
Governor Sani expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his support and assured him of his commitment to utilizing all resources for the benefit of the people of Kaduna State.
He thanked the President for supporting the state’s transportation master plan and providing funds for the construction of a light rail project.
The event was attended by several governors, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, and Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, among others. Also in attendance were the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
