Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation (PROOF) Bags Okun Media Award as “Best Foundation of the Year”
The Prince Olatunji Olusoji Foundation, POOF, has been named “Best Foundation of the Year” at the Okun Media Organization Annual Excellence Awards held in Kabba yesterday.
The award recognizes POOF’s outstanding contribution to education, healthcare, women empowerment, and youth development across Kogi State and beyond. Since inception, the foundation has rolled out scholarship programs, medical outreaches, skills acquisition training, and relief support for vulnerable families.
Presenting the award, the selection committee of Okun Media Organization said POOF stood out for its consistent, grassroots impact and transparent operations in the year under review.
“This foundation has shown what purposeful giving looks like. Their work in schools, health centers, and rural communities is touching lives daily,” a representative of the organization stated.
Receiving the award on behalf of the foundation, a senior member of the team thanked Okun Media Organization and dedicated the honour to beneficiaries, volunteers, and partners.
He reaffirmed POOF’s commitment to expanding its programs in 2026, with focus on girl-child education, primary healthcare access, and SME support for women in Okun land.
Traditional rulers and community leaders at the event applauded POOF for bridging development gaps and complementing government efforts in the region.
The anchor, Chief Smart Adekunle said Okun Media Excellence Awards celebrate individuals and organizations driving progress in Okun land.
POOF’s recognition adds to a growing list of honours for the foundation this year.
