Progressive Amalgamation of Northern Nigeria Address to Northern Nigerians

My Fellow Northerners,

It is with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment that I, as the Director General of the Progressive Amalgamation of Northern Nigeria (PANN), write to you today. Our nation finds itself in a challenging situation, one that has brought unnecessary hardship upon our people. This hardship is a consequence of missteps by our leaders since 2007. However, I firmly believe that there is always room for correction and for setting our country back on the path of economic development and prosperity.

To achieve this, we must take decisive steps:

Restoring Fuel Subsidies: It is imperative that we bring back fuel subsidies and ensure that fuel is sold at a cost of #200 per liter. This will ease the financial burden on our people and stimulate economic activities across the nation.

Opening Our Borders: We must open our borders to facilitate trade and commerce, which are essential for economic growth. By doing so, we can improve the livelihoods of our citizens and strengthen our economy.

Tackling Insecurity: Addressing the issue of insecurity is paramount. We need to implement comprehensive strategies to combat all forms of insecurity that threaten the peace and stability of our region. Ensuring the safety of our people is a fundamental duty that cannot be compromised.

Fighting Corruption: Corruption within the power corridors must be eradicated. We need to promote good governance, respect for the rule of law, and ensure transparency and accountability in all our dealings. Only then can we build a society that is fair and just for all.

Our youth are the backbone of our future. It is crucial that we engage them in these efforts, empowering them with education, skills, and opportunities to contribute to the development of our region and the nation as a whole.

Together, we can overcome the challenges we face and build a brighter future for Northern Nigeria and the entire country. Let us unite in our resolve to bring about positive change and work tirelessly towards achieving our goals.

Sincerely,

Hon. Bala Salihu Dawakin kudu
Director General
Progressive Amalgamation of Northern Nigeria (PANN)
